Story
Control Room is a psychological horror short film. The logline is as follows: Resisting urges from his manager to modernise his music, failing singer/songwriter Eli Fretter spends a night in a strange studio where an otherworldly entity infects his body and mind. The one liner: Control Room delves into the disposable nature of the modern music industry, navigating the realms of both analog nostalgia and contemporary resistance to technological strides.
Style
At Black Swan Productions, we are on a mission to produce distinctive, unique, and surreal phycological horror films that look at the profound nature of the human psyche and explore Carl Jung's work through film. We take inspiration from filmmaking greats like David Lynch, Ingmar Bergman, David Cronenberg, Robert Eggers and others. We are a passionate team of young and upcoming filmmakers looking to push the boundaries of storytelling through our daring style and approach.
Distribution
Control Room has recently kicked off it’s festival run mid-February 2024 in local festivals in Wales, United Kingdom. With our first submission, we have won ‘Best Welsh Film’ (Narrative Film) at Focus Wales Film Festival, a BAFTA-accredited festival. Since the, we have had more success. Check updates on our social media pages to see where it’s playing and any developments. Our next independent film is in the pre-production stage. We are always open to conversations regarding involvement from cast and crew, but more specifically, from investors or partners to take our films to the next level, as we begin our journey and start to make an impact.
